Talent for Governance provides scholarships to young, talented and motivated civil servants from developing and transitional countries. With these scholarships, the civil servants can follow training courses in the Netherlands so that they can develop their knowledge and skills in the field of local governance. The scholarships give them the opportunity to meet colleagues from abroad as well as to learn from experiences in other countries. In this way, Talent for Governance not only contributes to their individual development but also invests in the sustainable and structural improvement of living conditions in their communities.
Contributions and cases come from local governance experts from all parts of the world. By following these courses, the civil servants will develop the knowledge and skills they need to improve living conditions in their local societies. Course topics are, for example: citizen participation, municipal management, local economic development, infrastructure or the provision of public services like water, health and education.
