MCA-Armenia’s third Compact year marked a number of key milestones toward entering full implementation of the program. Under the Irrigation Infrastructure Activity of Irrigated Agriculture Program (IA) feasibility studies and design works were completed for such major infrastructure as the main canals, gravity scheme, pumping stations and the first package of tertiary canals. The significance of accomplishing this task is that MCA-Armenia moved toward construction stage and has already rehabilitated 6.5 km of tertiary canals, 1.3 kilometers of main canals and 29 canal structures.
